TESTS ON THE SPREADING OF PORPHYRY CHIPPINGS ON DENSE LIMESTONE BITUMINOUS MIXTURES
ESSAIS DE CLOUTAGE AU GRAVILLONDE PORPHYRE SUR ENROBES DENSES DE MATERIAUX CALCAIRES
Limestone deposits are found in abundance in the Jura region and are extensively used in the manufacture of dense bituminous mixtures. In order to prevent slipperiness due to the polishing of the limestone aggregates by traffic, siliceous chippings are spread on the road surface. Details are given of the procedure used, results obtained and costs of the method. /IRRD/
