ENVIRONMENT OF CARGO
The use of temperature control by refrigeration and less frequently by heating opens the way to a more complete control of environment. Economics dictate that any space receiving such treatment will be in some measure isolated from its own environment. This means some measure of thermal insulation, and the reduction to the absolute minimum of all uncontrolled means by which there can be an interchange of atmosphere between the insulated space and its surroundings.
