AN INTRODUCTORY BIBLIOGRAPHY ON DREDGING AND THE ENVIRONMENT
The IADC with the assistance of the Delft Hydraulics Laboratory have assembled this bibliography. Papers concerning dredging alone are still in the minority as dredging and the environment is a relatively new subject. However, every effort was made to include all traceable publications that fell into this category. Although some important papers may have been missed, a review of the dredging literature listed will provide a good insight into the range of problems. The mountain of literature on the environment seems already prohibitively high for the specialist and they have refrained from including too many specialized studies or those which had no direct bearing upon the limited zone in which most dredging operations take place: coastal seas, estuaries or rivers with alluvial channels. Papers about polluted sea ports, city sewage and sludge deposits have been included.
