Brief description of construction of the hull which consists of 4- by 10 ft glass-fiber-reinforced polyester sheets laid up within a jig frame. These sheets are fabricated on-site by using a special high-impact polyester resin. Glass-fiber roving is embedded in the resin, which is fabricated at room temperature. Polyurethane-foam longitudinal stiffeners along the hulls length provide extra strength. With this method of construction, the finished hull has a strength factor six to eight times that of normal laminates.
