HOW SATISFACTORY IS THE TRAINING AND EXAMINATION OF MARINE ENGINEERS
Recent developments in British engineering education are reviewed, and the status of the Board of Trade certificates for marine engineers is examined. The various methods of training marine engineers are discussed in conjunction with measures to make the profession a more satisfactory career. Suggestions are made for improving training programs. The employment of marine engineers in shore positions is discussed.
