MARINE TRANSPORTATION OF MINERAL SLURRIES

The potential advantages of marine transportation of mineral ore concentrates in slurry form are reviewed. Description of a converted vessels equipment as well as that of a forthcoming conversion is included, and the criteria for future design and development of slurry systems for larger vessels are indicated on the basis of experience to date.
