LEGAL ASPECTS OF AIRPORT NOISE AND SONIC BOOM, PART I

The report proposes various adjustments to existing law designed to facilitate the transfer of Noise Costs from the airport neighbor to the air transport industry. It concludes that under basic economic rules operating in our free market economy these increased costs (which would ultimately fall on aircraft users) would eventually force the aviation industry to produce quieter aircraft.
