FRONTAGE CONTROL STRATEGY FOR THE NORTH CENTRAL EXPRESSWAY, DALLAS FREEWAY CORRIDOR STUDY
An approach for operation of frontage road intersections along a major freeway is presented. The strategy considers isolated control, system control, and interface with freeway operation. Initiation of frontage road control is the second major phase in overall corridor control. The first phase, now in operation, is freeway ramp control.
