This is a Spanish version of the NHTSA publication 'Highway Safety Program Standards,' published February 1974. It includes highway safety program standards administrated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Federal Highway Administration. The 18 standards relate to periodic motor vehicle inspection; motor vehicle registration; motorcycle safety; driver education; driver licensing; codes and laws; traffic counts; alcohol in relation to highway safety; identification and surveillance of accident location; traffic records; emergency medical services; highway design, construction and maintenance; traffic engineering services; pedestrian safety; public traffic services; debris hazard control and cleanup; pupil transportation safety; and accident investigation and reporting.
