CONCERNING DYNAMIC ELASTIC-PLASTIC BENDING OF A RIGIDLY FASTENED BEAM-BAND
The problem of place shock in a rigidly fastened elastic beam-band of width L is solved as applied to ship designs. The dynamic bending W(x, t) is sought in the form W=16 (x/L) squared (1-x/L) squared times phi (t) on the basis of the fact that the shape of the bending of plate coincides with the static shape of the bending at low velocities of impact with water. The sahpe of the pressure pulse on the plate in time is taken to be in the form of a parabola. The function phi of t is sought by the variational method of Kantorovich. The bending and loading are determined for which the yield point is reached in the plate material.
