CALCULATION OF THE TWO-DIMENSIONAL TURBULENT BOUNDARY LAYER WITH MASS ADDITION AND HEAT TRANSFER

The method, which can be applied to boundary layers with arbitrary distributions of wall temperature and rate of injection, is based on a numerical technique for solution of the boundary layer equations proposed by Patankar and Spalding. Initial profiles of temperature and velocity, which can be obtained either from experiment or estimation, are required. The program calculates new profiles of temperature and velocity at successive downstream points using a marching integration procedure. The method has been tested against experimental data for arbitrary distributions of wall temperature and blowing rate.
