22,000 SHP BOILING WATER REACTOR MARINE PROPULSION PLANT FOR A COMMERCIAL TANKER. PRELIMINARY DESIGN
A preliminary design is presented for a boiling water reactor power plant for propulsion of a 22,000 SHP commercial tanker. Design features are described. Analyses of the dynamics of the reactor and power plant are presented, including the effects of ship's motion on reactor stability. Preliminary safeguards report, crew training program and plant operating procedures are presented. (Author)
