SPECIFICATION CLAUSES COVERING THE PRODUCTION OF HIGH QUALITY FINISHES TO IN SITU CONCRETE
Recommendations are made for the writing of specification clauses for the production of high quality finishes to in situ concrete. The suggested clauses are written in a form in which they can be incorporated into job specifications and many are followed by a brief discussion of the important points in the clause. The clauses cover (a) concrete constituents, (b) mix design, production, placing and subsequent treatment of the concrete, and (c) the design and usage of formwork. Appendices include additional clauses for sawn, rough-board, bush-hammered and point- tooled finishes and finishes obtained by abrasive blasting. /IRRD/
