COMPARATIVE ASSESSMENT OF SELECTED MODELS OF COMMUNITY COHESION

Four models of community cohesion were evaluated to test their predictive abilities and compare their most significant variables in order to forecast community consequences of highway improvements. These models are: Mobility Index, Stability Index, Social Feasibility Model, and Neighborhood Social Interaction Index. Broad agreement among the models stems from their use of common factors and they do not specidy any predictive relationships from one decade to another.
