METHODS OF CALCULATING STATIC INFLUENCES IN TUNNELS CONSTRUCTED BY ROTARY MACHINES

METODE PRORACUNA STATICKIH UTICAJA ZA TUNELSKE KONSTRUKCIJE GRADJENE ROTACIONIM MASINAMA

This paper presents basic postulations for tunnel construction by rotary machines in hard and soft rocks and methods for static calculation of tunnel monolithic concrete structures and prefabricated concrete elements without taking the rheological influences of rock into account. Static calculations of tunnel lining are given for a circular monolithic concrete ring in a rock that is resistant to deformation or for monolithic prefabricated structures in environments which are resistant to static deformation, and for a circular monolithic concrete ring in an elastic environment according to the methods of Bugajev, Zurabor, Duddeck and Schulze. The use of the stress program and finite element method for computer processing is described. The stress and deformation state of a tunnel structure depending on the number of its prefabricated elements is discussed. (TRRL)
