CONSUMPTION AND REFINERY PRODUCTION 1972 AND 1973

THE UK CONSUMPTION AND REFINERY PRODUCTION STATISTICS OF ALL PETROLEUM PRODUCTS ARE TABULATED FOR 1972 AND 1973. TABLE 1 SHOWS THE TONNAGE OF ALL TYPES OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS DELIVERED FOR CONSUMPTION. OVER 102 AND 104 MILLION TONS WERE DELIVERED FOR INLAND CONSUMPTION IN 1972 AND 1973 RESPECTIVELY. ALMOST 16 AND 17 MILLION TONS OF MOTOR SPIRIT WERE DELIVERED TO DEALERS AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS IN 1972 AND 1973. AN ANALYSIS IS GIVEN IN TABLES 3-8 OF THE ESTIMATED END USE OF MOTOR OIL, DERV FUEL, BURNING OIL, NAPTHA/LDF, LUBRICATING OILS AND GREASES, AND PROPANE AND BUTANE DELIVERED FOR CONSUMPTION. TABLE 9 SHOWS THE ANALYSIS BY INDUSTRY OR END USE, OF GAS, DIESEL AND FUEL OILS DELIVERED FOR CONSUMPTION. THE TONNAGE OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS PRODUCED FROM IMPORTED AND INDIGENOUS CRUDE AND PROCESS OILS IS INDICATED IN TABLES 10 AND 11.
