EXPERIMENTS IN ROAD BUILDING PRODUCTION FUNCTION
TIENRAKENNUKSEN TUOTANTOFUNKTION KOKEILU
In the experiment the development in the productivity of TBB's own works in road building was studied with the aid of production function. A Cobb-Douglas-type production function was used. The inputs comprised work input, capital input (machines and cars) and contracts. The output was formulated in the same way as in the input/output-method. In some models the increased productivity due to the average size of machines and cars was eliminated. According to the production function, the productivity of TVB's own works increased an average 0.4% per year during the years 1972-82.
