LONDON: THE MOST CIVILIZED CITY? AN ACTION PLAN FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMIC IMPROVEMENT IN CENTRAL LONDON THROUGH RATIONALISED TRANSPORT

This leaflet describes the traffic situation in central London in 1984 and offers an alternative view of central London's surface transport. By giving priority to improved public transport, safety of cyclists and pedestrians, together with essential access to buildings, fuel savings would be made, air and noise pollution would be reduced as would be accidents. Emphasis is placed on the need for a substantial study to be carried out with a view to reaching this goal. (TRRL)
