LAYING OF TEST SECTIONS OF BASE COURSES MADE OF FRESHLY PRODUCED FLY ASH AT FOREST (BRABANT)

COMPTE RENDU DE L'EXECUTION DE SECTIONS EXPERIMENTALES DE FONDATIONS A BASE DE CENDRES VOLANTES DE FRAICHE PRODUCTION A FOREST (BRABANT)

Suitable processing techniques which can accomodate site conditions for applying pozzolanic concrete in bases were developped on trial sections. The ultimate strength of the pozzolanic concrete on the site was primarily influenced by the level of compaction achieved. The kinetic behaviour of the pozzolanic reactions was largely a function of the ambient temperature and to a lesser extent of the pozzolanic binder content. Recommendations have been formulated to facilitate the execution of new projects. (TRRL)
