STOCKTAKING OF HIGHWAY DATA OUTSIDE BUILT-UP AREAS

INVENTARISATIE VAN WEGGEGEVENS BUITEN DE BEBOUWDE KOM

The province of Noord-Brabant has over a long period kept data concerning the highways which are administered by the province. During recent years many data have been added to provide a basis for traffic and transport policy and for the construction of highways and cycle tracks. In this paper the different data banks are described. The use of the computer has been an essential instrument. Not only the big central computers but also the microcomputers. The possibilities for the use of microcomputers for information systems of highways outside built-up areas are mentioned. (TRRL)
