TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE SCHUYKILL EXPRESSWAY. SESSION 18

Following traditional transportation planning techniques, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and its consultant team have planned the must extensive expressway rehabilitation process ever undertaken in Pennsylvania. The Schuylkill Expressway is critical to the Philadelphia region. There is no doubt that the impacts caused by the project will be severe but there is no choice. In the final analysis, the success of the project will be judged by our ability to minimize the disruptive impacts to the region and be responsive to its needs both during the planning process and, most importantly during construction.
