NETWORK-BASED METHODOLOGY TO FORECAST PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION FUEL CONSUMPTION. SESSION 13

The following is an overview of a project performed by the authors for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). One objective of the project was to develop a computerized network-based methodology which FDOT could use to forecast private transportation (i.e., auto and truck) fuel consumption from alternative Urban Area Transportation System (UATS) plans. An underlying criterion for the forecasting methodology was that it be integrated with existing standardized planning procedures. (Author)
