FREE AND FORCED VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF CONTINUOUS PLATES
A semi-analytical method for the accurate dynamic analysis of continuous rectangular plates and cantilever plates is presented using variable degree of freedom rectangular strips. The formulation leads to a set of dynamic stiffness equations which can be used for either forced vibration analysis or for determining natural frequencies. Two examples are given which demonstrate the good accuracy that can be achieved with very few degrees of freedom. (Author/TRRL)
