DRAINAGE CUTS AND SLOPE STABILITY

UTJECAJ DRENAZNIH USJEKA NA STABILNOST KOSINA

Unfavourable ground water regimes often contribute to slope sliding because pore pressure reduces the effective tension level and hence the resistance of the material to shear along the sliding plane. This in turn reduces slope stability and leads to sliding. The ground water regime can be modified by drainage systems. (TRRL)
