THE TRAFFIC SAFETY EFFECTS OF ROAD PROJECTS. GUIDELINES
UPPFOELJNING AV EFFEKTER AV VAEGINVESTERINGAR. TRAFIKSAEKERHET. INTERNA ALLMAENNA RAAD
To follow up the effects of implemented road construction projects is important for--among other reasons--feedback of knowledge, to reveal deficiencies and to get a better basis for the assessment of possible effects. In the report a before-and-after method of estimating the effect on traffic safety is described, based on accident, road and traffic information. Account is also taken of changes in traffic flow and general traffic safety. (Author/TRRL)
