This standard pertains to transport directing devices earmarked for the collection of information an transportational flux, to road controlling devices concerned with the switching of light signals and road signs which regulate the movement of vehicles and pedestrians, as well as to other technical devices of automatic and teleautomatic systems for the control of traffic. The main chapters describe the types and basic parameters of the controlling devices, specifying the various categories and requirements; the technical requirements for traffic control, such as maximum speeds, etc; and traffic technology, such as preventive grounding of electrical apparatus, markings on device etc. The final section lists the important terms and definiteion used in the pamphlet, such as interval cycle, reserve program temporary program, controlling zone, conflicting direction, basic cycle, blinking signal, etc.
