BOUNDARY STATES OF REINFORCED AND PRESTRESSED CONCRETE GIRDERS UNDER TORSIONAL AND FLEXURAL LOAD

This thesis presents and analyzes the boundary states of reinforced and prestressed concrete girders subjected to individual and complex load. The theoretical results for reinforced concrete girders (bearing capacity,stiffness) are obtained using a physical and a mathematical model - the space grid or the anisotropic plates stressed in mid-plane. The theoretical results for and prestressed concrete girders are obtained starting from the theory of plasticity to the theory of elasto-plasticity. The results obtained are compared with the experimental results obtained in the experiment with box girders and solid girders of small and large cross section under torsional, flexural and shear stresses.
