CONTRIBUTION TO THE OPTIMIZATION OF RESOURCES IN THE DESIGN OF CIVIL ENGINEERING STRUCTURE

PRILOG OPTIMALIZACIJI RESURSA U FAZI PROJEKTIRANJA GRADJEVINSKIH OBJEKATA

The first part of this thesis analyzes possible solutions in some stages of design and the relation between the various people involved in construction operations. It is shown that input and output data at the design stage have a functional dependence according to which the optimization processes can be performed. In the second part the use of mathematical and non mathematical methods of optimization is presented. The optimization processes are presented using examples of reinforced concrete bridges and viaducts. The optimum span in relation to the number of piles is given using the example of a bridge with the same span between piles. The choice of particular spans for a selected length of structure and optimum allocation of investment are determined by dynamic programming. The determination of optimum choice of spans is effected by means of a graphical method, i.e. By a network of structures so that the problem of the minimum cost is reduced to the problem of the shortest way in the network. The consumption of main resources (concrete, wire, reinforcement), working hours and energy according to M2 of span structures for different cross-sections are presented in a tabular and graphical form. The third part describes the role of technology transfer and the development of information for the different design stages. (TRRL)
