SIDE-LOAD TRAILERS DELIVER JUST-IN-TIME
In an effort to cut unloading time, some suppliers are turning away from conventional trailers and railcars, and toward side-loading trailers. As the name implies, side-loaded trucks or trailers can be loaded and unloaded from the side, not just the rear. A 75% reduction in unloading time makes a big difference for suppliers striving to meet just-in-time inventory deadlines for the automakers.
