ANCHORAGES: TECHNIQUE, LOADING AND TESTING

ANCLAJES: EJECUCION, PUESTA EN CARGA Y ENSAYOS

Different kinds of anchorages are described, classified by their mode of operation, durability and the way in which the free zone stresses are transmitted to the anchorage zone and to the ground. Laying processes are illustrated and the materials, construction of the anchorage zone and loading capacity are reviewed. Stressing and kinds of corrosion lining are described in detail. Quality checks according to French, German and Swiss standards are outlined. Conditions in which an anchorage system is in danger and the way to control its stability are also analyzed. (TRRL)
