EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF EARTHQUAKE RESISTANCE OF EMBANKMENT BY A LARGE-SIZE VIBRATION STAND. EXPERIMENT FOR FAILURE MECHANISM
Major factors causing a failure of earth fills on weak ground vulnerable to earthquake were studied experimentally using a large-size vibration stand. Various anti-earthquake measures were tried on various modes of failure. Acceleration, subsidence, and pore water pressure were investigated and the construction method is quantitatively analyzed.
