FLY ASH IN CONCRETE

VLIEGAS IN BETON

It is stated that fly ash can be worked up in concrete in four ways: (1) as raw material for portland cement, to replace slate-stone. (2) as an addition to concrete mortar. (3) as portland-fly ash-cement. (4) as lightweight aggregate. Advantages and disadvantages for the above mentioned applications for fly ash in concrete are enumerated. It is concluded that fly ash used in portland-fly ash-cement is the most feasible way to work up fly ash in concrete. (TRRL)
