Some driving tips are presented for saving gasoline; it is noted that the key may be awareness of how one drives. Over 70 suggestions are outlined under the following headings: general driving, drag, idling, planning, maintenance, new car shopping, and miscellaneous. Alternatives to personal car use are also proposed (e.g. bicycling, mass transit, carpooling). Some comments are made on the days of low gasoline prices and ways to cope with the next fuel crisis.
