PLANNING SECTION BUILDING IN A SHIPYARD
The production of sections in a shipyard is not easily planned by a network program. This paper describes a system that may be used to plan the production process from prefabrication to assembly. The user defines the production units to be planned. These may be machines, stationary and line assemblies. The planning unit is usually sections. The system is not based on optimization, but may be characterized as a consequence model.
