PROGRESS IN AIDS TO NAVIGATION
Although many improvements have been made to navigational aids since their large-scale introduction in 1946, these services demand more and more attention as shipping tonnage increases. The numerous accidents at sea in recent years have brought the question of navigational aids into the limelight. This article considers in fairly general terms the nature of these problems and the types of solutions which are being offered.
