EFFECTS AND CONTROL OF FUMES FROM ARC WELDING
Components of fumes developed in arc welding, with various threshold limit values as an indication of fume hazard, are listed. The physiological response of the body to welding fumes, with classification according to effects, for various toxic elements are also given. Ventilation is the best way to eliminate fumes. With MIG welding an annular nozzle in the welding torch draws off fumes.
