BALLASTED TRACK FOR HIGH SPEEDS
SCHOTTEROBERBAU FUER HOHE GESCHWINDIGKEITEN
The Author discusses the problems of ballasted track for high speeds and the possible improvement of track, ballast and formation to this end. Among other things, he states the view that under certain operating conditions the classical permanent way would then be economically viable up to speeds of 250 to 300 km/h.
