A STANDARDIZED SHIP DESIGN FOR THE GREAT LAKES
This paper is an attempt to examine the problem of the Great Lakes bulk carrier and to explore an avenue of solution which will take advantage of the concept of standardization, but still leave the owner and operator more than sufficient flexibility to perform efficiently. The concept is developed sufficiently to verify its practicality for various vessel arrangements.
