MODERN TRENDS IN MARINE ANTIFOULING PAINTS RESEARCH

This is a literature-based review of current state of knowledge in the field of marine antifouling paints and the future trend related to the subject. The following headings cover the matters discussed--toxics; vehicles and binders; marine chemistry; marine organisms; toxicology; and biochemical aspects. Chemical structures of polymers as well as antifouling agents present in commercially available antifouling paints are given and discussed.
