BRITISH, DUTCH FIRMS AWARDED $7.7 MILLION BUOY CONTRACT
British, Dutch firms awarded $7.7 million buoy contract by Continental Oil (U.K.) Ltd. for construction of a single point mooring buoy and related pipe lines to connect with Conoco's Tetney Haven tank farm and Humber Refinery. The offshore pipe system calls for 36 in. pipe running 2.5 mi overland from the tank farm to the low water mark on the estuary and then 2.5 mi out to the mooring buoy. This section of the line will be buried in an underwater trench. Completion is scheduled for July 1970.
