GAZOCEAN AFFILIATE INVOLVED IN NEW LIQUEFIED GAS ACTIVITIES
Imogaz has been established as a joint subsidiary of Imodco Inc. and Technigaz to develop and construct systems for loading and unloading ships carrying liquefied gas, especially the Single Point Mooring System (SPMS). The new systems for loading and unloading cryogenic liquid carriers from offshore terminals will be suitable for LNG, ammonia, ethylene, LPG, and other chemical products amenable to this mode of transport. The new technology will involve the development of flexible pipes and connections capable of operating at very low temperatures while conforming to other marine service conditions. Techniqaz has been involved in the development of cylindrical or self-supporting tanks or integrated tanks, which are being built into 13 vessels currently on order. Imodco has been involved to the construction of SPMS terminals for 15 years.
