SNG PLANT STUDIED BY SOUTH JERSEY GAS CO.
The company is planning a $30 million, 125 million cu ft/day (min) SNG plant with deepwater facilities on the Delaware River. South Jersey Gas recently put into operation an LNG storage and vaporization plant in McKee City, N.J., for peak shaving. Storage capacity is 116,000 bbl, equivalent to 400 million cu ft, which is enough to take care of the company's peak-shaving requirements for the ten coldest days in the winter. LNG will be obtained from Algeria.
