SOLIDS PIPELINE RESEARCH RESUMED IN CANADA

After being dropped some three years ago, solids pipeline research is again under way with the announcement that Aquitaine Co. of Canada Ltd. has begun tests with sulfur carried in liquid, oil, water, or LPG produced at its Rainbow Lake gas-processing plant. Also, the Alberta Research Council has received a government grant of $350,000 to resume its research, suspended in 1967. Work on capsule pipelining in fluids will commence at the research council test site at Edmonton.
