LAYING PIPELINES IN THE SEA BED
A submersible machine for burying underwater pipelines, designed and built in Italy to combine the functions of a bulldozer and a diving bell, has been used to lay 1000 m of 100 cm dia pipeline in the harbor bed of Taranto. A modification for unmanned operation is planned.
