FIRE HAZARD FROM OIL SPILLS
Fire Hazard from oil spills in the North Sea oil terminal Sunderland, England, can be controlled by a 3 cm dia plastic or elastomeric tube which is strategically placed on the harbor bottom and has perforations on top through which a compressor forces air to create a bubble barrier on the water surface. The equipment was developed by Atlas Copco Ltd.
