WORLD'S LARGEST OIL PUMP OPERATING IN KUWAIT
A pump used by Kuwait Oil Co. to load the giant oil tankers that trade between Bantry Bay and the Arbian Gulf is capable of delivering 15,000 tons/hr of oil through a 40 in. dia submarine pipeline to a terminal 10 mi offshore. Driven by an English Electric 14,000 hp power pack, down-rated to 11,500 hp and powered by a single Rolls-Royce industrial Avon gas generator.
