FLOATING WHARVES FROM LIBERTY HULLS

A solution to the problem of unloading automobile ships with drive on - drive off capabilities, during periods of great water level fluctuations, is presented. The solution involves the utilization of Liberty ship hulls, partially cut down and provided with a flat deck at the 'tween deck level. So at times of high water level changes, unloading may proceed without interruption, as the Liberty hull will float up and down along with the unloading vessel. The cost of these facilities as well as unloading rates are also discussed.
