TRANSPORT TOMORROW: WHAT MUST BE DONE
The first installment of Transport Tomorrow suggested guidelines and principles to be applied in future transportation policy decisions. Transport Tomorrow: What Must Be Done goes a step further, and identifies current problems to which these guidelines and principles should be applied. Central to the study is an identification of roles for each of the principles in the nation's transportation: the federal government, the states and communities, and the private sector. This document describes what their responsibilities and challenges are likely to be, and points out the types of actions, coalitions, groups and mechanisms that might be effective in meeting those challenges.
