INVESTIGATION OF PERMANENT TUNNEL WATER

A tunnel has the same function as a drain excavated underground, so that the gush of water always goes with the construction of the tunnel except in a few cases. The gush of water in the tunnel is mainly influenced by the topography, geology, geological structure, ground surface, length of tunnel, earth covering, hydrolic weather and so forth. This paper presents the investigation on the actual conditions of permanent water in the main tunnels and these data are offered to make clear the problems in the gush of water or its maintenance of the tunnel.
