An Evaluation of Behavioral Responses to License-Plated Based Driving Restrictions [supporting dataset]

This research project examines behavioral responses to license-plate-based driving restrictions. The authors draw on three data sources as described in their final report. The first draws on 31,167 car trips reported from the 2017 metropolitan Mexico City household travel survey. The Mexican National Statistics Agency (INEGI) provides these data freely and publicly through their website: https://www.inegi.org.mx/. Data and code are currently saved and backed up through the University of Pennsylvania’s online PennBox account. The second data source is a series of household surveys and interviews collected by Ariadna Reyes for her dissertation research. Survey findings will be provided to researchers upon request but will not be made publicly available. The third approach draws on a focus group. The authors provide an Excel sheet providing group quotations in Spanish and English. These are available through the Harvard dataverse. The authors also conducted an extensive literature review.
